There are some costs associated with going to school that you may find it helpful to plan and budget for.
These include:
uniforms
school books and equipment
excursions
- co-curricular activities.
Voluntary school contributions
Like all NSW public schools, we can request contributions to enhance our educational and sporting programs including elective subjects. School contributions help provide additional educational resources for the benefit of students. Payment is voluntary.
For more information, visit theĀ Voluntary School Contribution policy.
Financial assistance
If you are unable to pay school contributions because of financial hardship, you may be eligible for assistance from the school.
Our principal will ensure no student or family suffers any discrimination or embarrassment over the inability to pay school contributions.
Annual school contribution
At Inverell Public School an annual school contribution is set by the P&C. Currently it is $30 per student or $60 per family. This money assists with the purchase of student workbooks, stationery, photocopying costs, etc.
We encourage payment of the contribution early in Term 1, but it may be paid in instalments. This is the only contribution parents make towards general school materials used by students. There may, however, be additional costs to meet during the year for events such as excursions, cultural shows, sporting visits or special projects.
